To keep your future Prestige kitchenware in tip-top condition, you’ll need to make sure that it's fully compatible with the type of stovetop in your kitchen before making your purchase. Here's a quick guide to help you to find the right choice:
1. Saucepans for induction hobs
Fast, effective and hassle-free, induction hobs make for a popular choice – but it’s important to remember that they’re not compatible with every type of saucepan. Choosing a Prestige induction saucepan or a complete induction hob saucepan set will ensure optimum efficiency and evenly distributed heat, making cooking even easier.
Remember that, if you cook with a ceramic saucepan, you won’t be able to use it on an electric induction hob. This is because the majority of ceramic pans are manufactured with an incompatible-gauge aluminium base.
2. Saucepans for gas hobs
If you cook over a gas-fired flame, the good news is that every single Prestige saucepan will be perfectly compatible. Just remember to keep a watchful eye on the flame and make sure that it doesn’t reach up beyond the base – this could potentially damage the handle, waste your gas, or taint the outside of the saucepan.
3. Saucepans for ceramic hobs
On a ceramic stove, we’d recommend cooking with either adonised stainless steel or heavy-gauge aluminium saucepans with a smooth, flat base. Using these materials will keep your ceramic hob looking cleaner for longer, and aluminium saucepans in particular are tough, scratch-resistant, and easy to clean.
